Media service provider declaration form

Under the European Media Freedom Act (EMFA), media service providers (MSPs) that meet the transparency and independence requirements set out in the Regulation may have certain additional protections when their content is moderated by platforms like ours for violations of the platform’s terms and conditions (*).

If you believe that you meet the relevant requirements, you can declare that you are an MSP under the provisions of the EMFA by filling in this form

We will review your submission and let you know the outcome. If we have any questions or concerns, we may contact you for additional information. We reserve the right to reject your submission if we have reasonable grounds to believe that you do not fulfill the specific conditions for MSPs under the EMFA.

(*) Such additional protections are not applicable when content moderation actions are taken to comply with our obligations relating to illegal content pursuant to Union law, our obligations pursuant to Articles 28, 34 and 35 of the Digital Services Act and or our Article 28b of the Audiovisual Media Services Directive, transposed into Irish law by the Online Safety and Media Regulation Act and the Online Safety Code published by Coimisiún na Meán.
