The Apache Software Foundation (ASF) has announced that Community Over Code Europe 2026 will take place October 11 to 14, 2026 in Glasgow, Scotland, at the Hilton Hotel.

Community Over Code is the annual conference of the ASF, bringing together contributors, committers, users, and open-source enthusiasts from across its 350 plus community driven projects. For more than 27 years, Community Over Code and its ApacheCon predecessors have celebrated not only the technology produced under the ASF, but the collaborative community model that powers it.

This four-day event will feature keynotes, hands on sessions, real world case studies, training sessions, hackathons, and more. Topic areas will include Search, Big Data, Internet of Things, Community, Geospatial, Financial Tech, and many others. Each evening will also host Birds of a Feather sessions and informal gatherings designed to foster discussion, collaboration, and new ideas across projects.

We’re pleased to announce that the CloudStack European User Group (CSEUG) 2026 will take place in the Netherlands on May 21st. This year’s event will be hosted by CBS (Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek) in the Hague. The one-day technical event is open to cloud builders, infrastructure managers, and anyone interested in open-source cloud and IaaS technology.

As the first official CloudStack event of 2026, it is a great opportunity to start the year by learning, sharing ideas, meeting other operators and contributors, and exploring the latest developments across CloudStack and the wider open-source cloud ecosystem.

The Apache CloudStack project is pleased to announce the release of CloudStack Kubernetes Provider v1.2.0 that facilitates Kubernetes deployments on CloudStack.

It allows Kubernetes to dynamically allocate IP addresses and the respective networking rules on CloudStack to ensure seamless TCP, UDP and TCP-Proxy LoadBalancer deployments on Kubernetes. This was historically part of the Kubernetes codebase which was later removed and donated to the project to allow for further maintenance of the provider plugin.

This release contains various bug fixes and improvements. Some of the highlighted features include:

  • Support for NetworkACLs for LB on VPC networks
  • Support configuring source CIDR list
  • ARM support for docker images

The Apache CloudStack project is pleased to announce the release of CloudStack 4.22.0.0, which is a LTS release.

The CloudStack 4.22 release is the most recent release of the cloud management platform. It comes as a product of extensive contributions from the project development community.

The 4.22 release contains 10 new features, around 15 improvements and more than 140 bug fixes since 4.21. Some of the highlights include:

With a full agenda of technical talks and community discussions, the event once again highlighted the strength of collaboration in the CloudStack ecosystem.
